(Wilson, Wyo.) – Multimedia action sports lifestyle brand Teton Gravity Research (TGR) is pleased to announce that TGR snowboarder Jeremy Jones and his brothers, TGR co-founders Steve and Todd Jones, will be featured in a new episode of 60 Minutes Sports airing Wednesday, March 5 at 9 p.m. ET on Showtime.
Ten-time Snowboarder magazine ‘Big Mountain Rider of the Year’ Jeremy Jones revolutionized backcountry snowboarding with TGR’s movie Deeper, his 2010 ode to splitboarding and human-powered adventure. His 2012 sequel Further took him to the planet’s most remote mountain ranges and earned him a nod as a 2013 National Geographic ‘Adventurer of the Year’. His environmental advocacy work with Protect Our Winters won him recognition as one of President Barack Obama’s 2013 ‘Champions of Change’.

Throughout the past few months, the team at 60 Minutes Sports has been traveling to Tahoe and Jackson to interview the Jones brothers. The episode is expected to follow Jeremy, showcasing the evolution of his riding, his commitment to combating climate change, and the deep love and collaboration between Jeremy and his brothers Steve and Todd as they work together on Higher, the third feature film in the trilogy being produced by TGR for a fall 2014 release.

The episode will become available on video on demand following its debut, and air on Showtime several more times. The full piece is expected to go online sometime in September.

To celebrate, TGR will be streaming Further for free on TetonGravity.com from Wednesday March 5 until midnight on Tuesday, March 11.
